Have you been a victim of attraction?

Have you been a victim of attraction? It is so tempting that even if u are made of steel, u’ve got to sway. It’s irresistible. It is seductive. It keeps luring you away. Attraction is usually for something, for example you are attracted to a particular object or person. Attainment of the same isn’t half as fulfilling as what attraction does to us. That’s why Hope is such a wonderful thing. It keeps us in a dream land of belief that someday things will change. The concept of some day is so fantastic that it, in most cases, will lead you to inaction. The “some day” has to be created by you. Hoping is just the odor. The actual thing is the source of the sweetness. Odor just has a marijuana effect, hence fighting it is tremendously difficult.

You need guts to overcome the lure of attraction. It is fancy to dream big but if you don’t know your route to achievement then your dream is just a movie that has flown you away one minute and crash lands you the next. But attraction in itself isn’t bad. Attraction is always the fast step. It has to be followed up with a plan and then action. Then alone will we achieve the end of attraction, i.e. satisfaction.

hope... desire... very dangerous . thats why the wise teach that you should act - but not desire the fruits of your action. it will only lead to sadness.

“When a man dwells on the objects of sense, he creates an attraction for them; attraction develops into desire, and desire breeds anger.”

“Love yourself. Attractive people judge neither themselves nor others. They are open to gestures of love. They think about love, and express their love in every action. They know that love is not a mere sentiment, but the ultimate truth at the heart of the universe.”

Being Single

The single guy is such a demeaning proposition. Unless someone has a “Single now” status a single status especially for a guy is such a troubling state of being. Single as a relationship status means a guy who is currently not involved with anyone from the opposite or his own sex. It pretty much means the same to a girl and the argument may not be largely different but let us concentrate on the trauma of the guy here. Generally guys do not seek a single status. Everybody is born with this status and depending on the age at which the guy becomes cognizant of this fact that he is actually relationshipless he starts bracing up to move away from this status. But here is the trouble. The “what” of the trouble is known, the “why of the issue is also pretty much understood but the “how” of the trouble is a perplexing one because there is not one technique that leads to a relationship. Let’s examine the very natural way of getting into a relationship, love. This is probably defined as the firs...

The Dream

It is important to dream big to achieve something big. I heard this line in a recent interview of Sachin Tendulkar. There is so much power in this statement. That particular dream gave him all the will power to become the most respected sports icon of the country. It’s the dream, a vision that fosters us with a certain scene and people like Sachin dedicate their lives to see that moment become a reality. If you are wondering why am I boring you with such an obvious testimony of a personality that every second Indian adulates, then things are just about to get interesting. I am writing to this to address a certain set of people who don’t have a dream, a la me. I don’t want to be the VP of my Co. 30 yrs down the line. Infact I don’t want to be the VP of any company. I don’t believe in what I am doing. Hence I don’t know what I want. I don’t have any vision of what my future should be like. I don’t aspire to be any one. I would love to see myself being interviewed on TV. But in that progr...
